It’s possible for us to believe in Jesus yet still miss out on the life and purpose He has for us. God has given us a mission, but we often put our own comfort above our calling. In the Old Testament, a man named Elisha was called to be a prophet. Elisha had everything society says we should want—wealth, status, and possessions. Yet Elisha left it all behind to follow God’s call because he knew he wasn’t losing anything; he was gaining everything. Just like Elisha, God is calling us to surrender and follow Him wholeheartedly.
