Policies & Information
Securing Your Service Date
To confirm availability for a funeral or memorial service at Bedford Alliance Church, you may coordinate in one of the following ways: through your funeral home director, by contacting the church office directly, or by completing the form on this page.
Once the service date and time have been confirmed, Bedford Alliance Church will work with the family and the funeral director to finalize details and to coordinate all desired arrangements.
Receptions
Upon request, Bedford Alliance Church can provide its facilities for a reception following a funeral service. Due to room size constraints, attendance is limited to 100 people.
All food must be catered and brought in fully prepared. Our kitchen is available for serving and cleanup only; it is not equipped for cooking or food preparation. There is no smoking or alcohol allowed in the building. All personal items must be removed once the reception has ended.
Pastoral Requirements
Bedford Alliance Church requires that a Pastor oversee all funeral or memorial gatherings held at our facility. Our staff Pastors are available to assist in planning and leading the ceremony.
If you choose to have a pastor outside of our staff lead the ceremony, they must receive approval from our elder board. For approval, we will need the officiant’s name, church affiliation (if applicable), statement of faith, and confirmation of their role in the gathering.
Building Policies
Bedford Alliance Church is a smoke-free facility, and the use of alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances is prohibited on our grounds. It is the responsibility of the family and/or funeral director to ensure these policies are followed by all attendees.
Media Requirements
All audio files to be played before, during, or after the service must be provided in .mp3 or .wav format on a USB drive. As another option, you may create a spotify playlist and share it with us. We are unable to play CDs in our facility.
Our sanctuary includes two large screens that may be used to display videos. All video files must be provided in .mp4 or .mov format on a USB drive. We are unable to play DVDs.
Video Recording
We offer the option to have the service recorded via one of our sanctuary cameras. This is not a professional videography service, but a simple recording of the service. If you choose this option, a $100 fee will apply. This fee includes a technician to operate the camera and basic editing of the recording.
