Salvation Salvation

It all begins with Jesus.

No matter who you are or what you’ve been through, Jesus came to earth for you. He didn’t come to start a religion. Jesus came to save us, and that’s good news!

What does it mean to be saved?

In church, you’ll probably hear terms like “saved” or “salvation.” What does it mean to be saved? All of us are born with sin. No matter how “good” we are, we cannot outweigh our sin. Because God is perfect and without sin, our sin separates us from Him. That separation breaks God’s heart and can leave us feeling lost.

Despite our sin and being undeserving of God’s love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to pay for our sins.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:16-17

Jesus lived the perfect life we could never live, and then sacrificed Himself in our place. Jesus died the death we deserved and then was raised to life again.

Being saved is making the decision to confess our sins to God, asking for forgiveness, and then asking Jesus Christ to be the Savior of our lives.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9

Do you want to be saved?

If you’d like to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ, all you need to do is confess and believe. Speak to God in your own words and pray like the following:

“Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. I have messed up in my life, and I need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus lived, died, and rose again so that I could be forgiven. I confess that I have (confess to God how you’ve sinned and what you’re struggling with). I ask for your forgiveness for my sins. I accept Jesus as my Savior and commit my life to You. Amen.”

Did you just experience salvation?

That is so awesome! We’re so happy you’ve decided to give your life over to Jesus. We want to celebrate with you and help you take the next step.
