Dangerous things rarely begin as dangerous. A small thought becomes a pattern. A pattern becomes a habit. A habit becomes a way of life. And over time, what once seemed harmless can quietly pull us farther from God than we ever intended to go. Jesus takes this progression seriously, warning us that sin is never as small as it seems and that the choices we make today can have eternal consequences. Because what we tolerate today can shape where we end up tomorrow.

Our denomination, the Christian and Missionary Alliance, is passionate about completing that command and making the gospel accessible to everyone. Because we have experienced His love, hope, and mercy first-hand, we are compelled to make Him known to all people.

Our attention is constantly pulled in a thousand directions, leaving many of us anxious, spiritually dry, and disconnected from the God we desperately need. Yet throughout the Psalms, we find a different invitation: an invitation to slow down, plant ourselves in God's presence, and rediscover the joy of simply being with Him. Because lasting peace isn't found by adding more noise to our lives, but by learning to behold the One who has been with us all along.

We stop living merely for the moment and start investing in what will last forever, building a legacy that reflects the character of Christ and points others to Him.

We all have places we'd rather forget. Regrets we wish we could undo. Failures, wounds, and moments that continue to echo long after they've passed. Shame has a way of convincing us that our story is over, insisting we'll never move beyond what happened to us or what we've done. But the resurrection tells a different story. Because Jesus is alive, no one is beyond His grace, no life is beyond His reach, and no past has the final word.
