A word typically associated with something lost. An empty chair at the dinner table. An empty wallet. An empty bed. An empty promise.
Easter is the time we celebrate the empty tomb, yet this “empty” doesn’t represent loss—it’s a sign of victory! The crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ are not just historical events, but they signify a victory that was won for us all. His resurrection left the tomb empty, which means we’ve gained hope over despair, light over darkness, salvation over condemnation, and life over death.
Because the tomb is empty, we can be filled with joy, purpose, and the promise of eternal life. Join us this Easter at Bedford Alliance as we celebrate the power of the resurrection and the hope that comes from an empty tomb!
