National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer is designated as a time of unified public prayer for our nation. It was enacted by the U.S. Congress and is held on the first Thursday of May, where people are encouraged to lift our nation in prayer.

On the National Day of Prayer, we’re asking you to help us cover the entire day in prayer! We’ve created 30-minute time slots you can register for, so prayers are continuously being lifted for our country, leaders, and community.

You can pray no matter where you are. Whether you want to pray from home, during a break at work, or with your family, we encourage you to register for a time slot and help us stand united in prayer! This year, we’re also opening the church building for anyone who’d like to pray in our sanctuary. The church will be open on Thursday, May 7, between 3 and 4 pm, and again between 7 and 8 pm. You can enter the building on the north side through the North Main doors.

After you sign up for a time slot, you’ll receive an email with a prayer guide from the National Day of Prayer Task Force. The prayer guide will include the 2026 National Prayer as well as seven centers of influence in our nation to pray for. Sign up today to be part of something bigger because when God’s people pray, change happens!
