The new school year is about to begin, which means it’s time for Promotion Sunday! Promotion Sunday is the day we move students up to their new grade, which will take place on Sunday, September 1.
Pre-K kids who will be starting kindergarten, will move to the kindergarten room, kindergarteners will move to the first-grade room, and so on all the way through to the current 11th graders who will now be considered 12th graders.
Students who are entering sixth grade will now be part of our Student Ministry. See more about the student schedule below!
What You Need to Do
On September 1, you don’t need to do anything for your student to move up a grade. For elementary-aged kids (K-5th grade), please check that your child’s tag reflects their new grade once you check them in. If there is an error, please let our volunteers know. Our volunteers will also be happy to help you find your child’s new classroom if you need assistance. We’re looking forward to a great school-year!
What about Nursery-PreK?
Kids ages birth to 4+ who are not starting kindergarten in the fall are separated by age. They will move to their next classroom by birthdate, and not school year. They will be unaffected by Promotion Sunday.
When do BAC Students meet?
Starting September 9, BAC Students will meet on Monday nights from 7-8:30 pm at the church. The night will be similar to how Sunday nights were previously structured, but the day of the week and time have changed. Monday nights are for students in 6th-12th grade.
The junior high (6th-8th grade) will also continue to meet in the Connect Room on Sunday mornings at 11 am.
